The Insights Smart Logistics Cluster took place digitally for the first time this year on December, 10th. As part of the event, participants have the opportunity to experience the speed in which industry collaborates with the centers of the Smart Logistics Cluster on the RWTH Aachen Campus.
The Center Integrated Business Applications actively participated with Katharina Berwing and Peter Gibbels presenting the status quo and the vision of the center. Above all, the renaming of the center from the “Center Enterprise Resource Planning” to the “Center Integrated Business Applications” enables a strategic positioning in the overall context of the Smart Logistics Cluster. In addition to a review of the year 2020 and the projects carried out, we talked about planned projects, which will be carried out with members and customers within the coming year.
In addition to insights into the work on the RWTH Aachen Campus and in the Smart Logistics Cluster, there were exciting presentations on the future of logistics by Michael Hüther and Prof. Volker Stich and a captivating round of talks with Dr Christian Fabry from Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions BU Mining, Tim Wilhelm Hammer from Hammer GmbH & Co. KG, Philipp Jussen from Schaeffler Industrie 4.0 and Dr Giovanni Prestifilippo from PSI Logistics.
